I have worked as a private tutor since October 2016; during my tutoring career I have worked with a wide range of ages and abilities. I have a large amount of 11+ and 13+ teaching experience, as well as GCSE and A-level preparation. I am familiar with all major exam boards and their assessment objectives, syllabi and so on. During the pandemic, I ran several book clubs and homework clubs, mostly working with KS2 and KS3-age children; the book clubs covered a range of books from various authors and time periods, while the homework clubs included Geography, Science and History topics. Many of the GCSE and A-level students I've worked with have achieved excellent grades, and I have had feedback telling me that I've helped some students to love English again - a joy to hear!

I've worked independently and with various agencies including Holland Park Education, Tutor Doctor, Pi Academy and Witherow-Brooke.

I believe in kindness and patience as the absolute priority when tutoring - private tuition offers the opportunity for a holistic approach and I do my best to ensure that the student feels supported and encouraged in our work together. I hold myself to a high level of professionalism in my tuition and my communication. I particularly enjoy A-level English tuition, as students are really able to explore different interpretations of their set texts. I am clever, capable and hardworking - all strengths which lend themselves to my doing the best I can for my students. I use Zoom regularly, and send screenshot lesson notes at the end of each session so that the student can look over what we've done.
