Hello! My name is Usman and I'm a second-year Mathematics student at Keble College, University of Oxford. Mathematics forms the core of my degree and I'm eager to share my enthusiasm for this subject with students! Having navigated the challenging admissions process for Oxford, I understand the effort and precision it takes to get everything right. With the acceptance rate being as low as 1 in 10 applicants, the competition is indeed intense. Fortunately, I can assist with everything from crafting compelling personal statements and preparing for interviews to acing admissions tests, having scored all A* grades at A-Level.

As your tutor, I will strive to ignite the determination and zeal you need to secure a university spot and achieve outstanding A-Level grades. I also have three years of experience tutoring students, both online and in-person at various tuition centres. Having taken a gap year, I also have experience with two university application cycles, and I understand very well what it takes to secure places at the world's best institutions. I've had the privilege of helping students secure places at prestigious universities such as Oxford, Imperial, UCL, and King's College. 

Having taken the same exams and walked the same path, I've gained invaluable insights and strategies that I'm eager to share! 

I can fully empathize with feeling overwhelmed or stuck in the learning process; I've been through it myself! Rest assured, no one is expected to master everything independently. Having accumulated over 800 hours of tutoring experience, I recognize and appreciate that every individual has a unique learning style, with distinctive strengths and areas for improvement. Therefore, I tailor my tutoring approach to cater specifically to your needs, leveraging your strong points while addressing and overcoming any weaknesses.

With an approach similar to an Oxford tutorial, I will be there to provide guidance and support as you tackle challenging problems and topics, enabling you to discover solutions independently. This method has been proven to be particularly effective in enhancing understanding and fostering confidence in daunting subjects.

That's why we will dedicate a significant part of our sessions to refining your exam strategies. We will engage in numerous practice problems, which is excellent at helping you retain what you learn while simultaneously developing your problem-solving abilities and speed.
