My name is Tom and I tutor Physics at GCSE and A-level. I was a teacher of Physics for six years, but have decided to go back to university to complete a master's. I specialise in teaching the OCR A Physics syllabus but have experience with the AQA specification at both A-level and GCSE, having been involved with lesson planning and resource creation alongside my teaching. I worked with PMT education as an exam question video tutorial creator and online course tutor for the last three years. The lessons I teach are fun and engaging, with a particular focus on real-world contexts to emphasise the importance of Physics as a subject. 

I always try to make my sessions as bespoke as possible, to meet the individual academic needs of students. I encourage my students to keep me updated on topics they are currently covering in lessons, building my sessions around this and maximising efficiency. Physics at any level is synoptic in nature, which is one of the many reasons I love the subject so much. For this reason, I help students to draw links between topics through the activities they complete, placing an emphasis on understanding over knowledge and making the revision process more manageable.
