I’ve recently graduated from the University of Bristol in Environmental Literature after an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford, studying a BA in English Language and Literature. Currently, I teach English Language and Literature in a secondary school in London. I’m happy to tutor all ages in English and History, as well as provide advice and help with university applications (such as personal statements). 

I’ve helped students practice the ELAT aptitude test and tutored for interview practice. I’m also happy to talk and advise on any fears or concerns Oxbridge candidates have prior to their application. I’ve previously worked both within Oxford’s outreach systems and as an English Tutor, which I greatly enjoyed. Through teaching English in secondary schools, I have gained lots of experience working with young learners. Crucially, this role allows me to access teaching resources for both GCSE and A-Level students, which I can bring into my one-to-one tutoring sessions online. 

I also have training as a CELTA teacher, so am able to take on a few EFL students if desirable. Please message me if you'd like a lesson and we can arrange a time for our first session!

My tutoring style is fairly flexible, which I find helps me adjust to the particular needs of the student I’m working with. I use content and exam questions provided by the curriculum, as well as planning and creating lessons from texts and methods that appeal to the individual tutee. There will be some homework to complete outside of tutoring sessions, which I will subsequently go over at the beginning of the next session. Equally, if the student/parent request no homework, then this is also possible.
