Olivia L.

Hello everyone! My name is Olivia, and I'm a full-time maths and science tutor. 

I have a first-class (Hons) bachelors degree in Material Science and Engineering. I achieved this degree from Queen Mary University of London, which is in the top 20 of all UK universities and is a member of the prestigious Russel Group. I achieved 9 A*/A grades at GCSE, including mathematics at an A grade. I also achieved an A in A-Level maths. I've always been the type of person to enjoy school, so I hope to instill some of that passion in my students!

I teach maths and the sciences, and over the years I have become, very familiar with the content. I have perfected the order in which I teach the content to provide the best results, no matter how much time we have.

Teaching is a passion of mine. It is an incredibly fulfilling role as I know that my lessons help students get where they want to be, whether they love maths or they just want a passing grade. To hear more about me or how I can help you specifically, send me a message!

In lessons, I always get the student to answer the questions right from the start, even if they are not familiar with the topic. I do this by breaking down the problem into smaller parts. Nobody falls asleep in my lessons! Students are always engaged, and I will rarely complete an example alone. Confidence is a large part of STEM, and I like to boost confidence in my lessons by letting the students see themselves improve.
