I am a practicing teacher, Head of Year and previous assistant Head of Science. I also mark for AQA and OCR at GCSE and A level. I have a PhD in molecular microbiology which I use to stretch my tutees at all levels.

I tutor all three sciences to GCSE in all specifications as well as A level Biology to all specifications.

I have tutored many students who have gone on to study Medicine and Dentistry. I have experience of tutoring successful OxBridge candidates as well as international students.

I have been highly commended by exam boards for my marking and use this experience in my tutoring. I have experience of tutoring students of all abilities stretching more able students and also scaffolding to ensure understanding.

I pride myself in ensuring all my tutees have a positive experience and enjoy learning with my witty humour and easy to digest resources. I also always give past exam questions as homework and will give feedback on the homework during next lesson.

I will tailer each session to suit the tutees current syllabus to support their learning in school. I conduct regular baseline assessments to highlight areas of weakness to provide bespoke support. 

I will work through exam questions and how to structure answers using my experience as an examiner to ensure maximum marks are achieved. I have a dedicated tutoring set up, sharing well made resources and annotating these with students to communicate key learning objectives.
