A qualified teacher with a range of experience across several subjects at different levels. My main subject is Geography having taught and tutored almost all of the exam boards at GCSE level and predominately AQA at A level. I have been tutoring for the last few years alongside my teaching job. I am currently Head of Geography at my school and have also run the humanities department in previous schools.

My style usually involves friendly two way conversations about the subject. I find students respond well to this not feeling like a 'classroom setting' and this builds confidence for students to feel they can speak up if they are sturggling with a particular concept. The sessions consist of a brief introduction to find out how the students has been getting on in the subject since last session, followed by learning or revising key content that both the student and myself feel is most benefical for that session. The remainder of the lesson is spent going over past exam questions and building confidence on how to tackle these. Although my style can also be easily adapted to the needs of the students.
