I have over 7 years of tutoring experience working with students with a wide variety of abilities and age groups, from SATS to A-Level.

My extensive experience teaching students with SEND needs means I am well versed in adapting my content and lessons to diverse needs: having successfully taught students with needs including ASD, ADHD, deafness, visual impairments and mental health needs. 

I understand that each student is unique and has different learning styles which may not always be accommodated at school. My goal is to get to know each of my students' academic needs and cater my lessons to their level and learning style.

I specialise in Maths and the Sciences, specifically Biology and Chemistry since these subjects were present throughout my degree. These subjects are often seen as the most scary and tricky school subjects but I am determined to make these subjects fun and easy for all of my pupils.

Firstly I will assess the needs of each student: what subject and topics they need help with, what level they are working at and their learning style. Students can suggest topics, methods of exam techniques they need help with.

We will then work on the topics that require the most practice until they are confident in them. There will be regular class tests to measure progress and attempt to get everything in a set time period.

Students can bring any resources they would like to work on, from past papers to their homework. I also have past papers and resources for the students to work on.

For GCSE and A-Level students, exam paper practice is key. We will base our sessions around both theory and exam technique, to best prepare for exams. We will work on deciphering what the examiner wants and HOW to answer specific questions, in addition to the essential knowledge needed.

I am very aware that each student has a very different learning style and I ensure that I cater my teaching to meet students' needs. I am experienced in teaching students with a range of needs from deafness, to visual impairment, to ASD.
