Michael Y.

Dr Y started his teaching career at Manchester Grammar School. He moved to be Head of Chemistry at Bradford Grammar School and then onto Head of Chemistry and Head of Science at Bolton School. Now part time and a Lead Chemistry Practitioner at a MAT. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

Senior Examiner for a leading awarding body. Previous examining experience includes International Baccalaureate (examiner and team leader). 

In recent years he has delivered workshops to support teachers in Dubai, Egypt, Jordan and China.
Having represented the England Senior water polo team as well as coaching the GB Junior team he understands the importance of time management and achieving goals!

My ethos is to engage students to enable them to achieve their potential.
My subject knowledge has been honed through extensive classroom practice and running successful departments. Any incorrect chemistry and misconceptions will be identified and addressed. Students will be challenged both in lessons and with homework to consolidate their learning.
