Hi, my name's Michael, a graduate with a first in a masters of Engineering Mathematics from the University of Bristol. I can happily say maths is one of my passions and teaching it even more so. I've spent the last four years working as a personal tutor and also have experience in schools as a TA.

Throughout my time at school and University I've always been confident with maths, achieving a 9 at GCSE and A* at A level (not inluding an A in the FSMQ and an A in A level further maths). I have taught at length both in person and online and feel very confident I can deliver outstanding lessons in any setting. Not only am I very comfortable with all areas of GCSE, A Level (both maths and further maths), and IB (including AI, AA both at higher and standard levels) but also in teaching other key skills such as exam technique, I pride myself on honing in on a particular student's unique needs.

Heavily example based approach. I believe in introducing the fundamentals of a concept and training the skills and techniques through worked examples of easier to harder questions, making sure the student is constantly engaged and following each and every step - progressing towards answering questions with more and more indepedance at each step and ensuring the student knows there are no stupid questions!
