I am an Economics Graduate from City University London with an Upper Second Class Honours. I have completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Education - Mathematics and was a teacher of Maths and Economics for 3 years. I am now working for a university to develop programmes to raise attainment in Maths. I have taught from Year 7 to Year 13, and very confident in preparing and supporting students for their Maths GCSE. I am very keen to not only help prepare them for exams but be able to apply their knowledge to the real world. I have achieved a very high B in both Maths and Economics at A level and developed on my skills during University. I was able to help support and improve many students’ grades for their Maths GCSEs during this time. I am very flexible with my availabilities to teach online and will definitely help build the students' confidence in the subject at hand.

Lessons start with a set of 5 questions that looks to recap and retrieve previous knowledge. Main lesson follows an I do, we do and you do model. "I do" will be where the student tracks my teaching, "we do" will be when both myself and the student work together through the example and "you do" is where the student completes an independent question and shows me their understanding. Depending on how confident they are independently - I will either repeat another "we do" followed by an "I do" or move onto the independent task if the student completes the "I do" section successfully. End the lesson with a possible extension question that links to an exam question. This will be adapted dependent on the ability and age of the student.
