Teaching in the UK, Hong Kong, and New Zealand, as well as heading the geography department at the Alice Smith School in Malaysia for the last 16 years, has allowed me to pursue my love of geography worldwide. I'm proud of the creative teaching and learning methodology we established there, which was acknowledged when the Geographical Association awarded us the Secondary Geography Quality Mark in 2023. 

I specialise in A-Level Geography, and I have served as an examiner for Edexcel and International Edexcel for the past four years. In 2022, I had the satisfaction of tutoring a student who achieved the highest mark in Asia for A-level geography with the Edexcel syllabus. I also guided two students to success in the prestigious British Geological Society's National Schools Geology Challenge that same year.

Currently, I'm taking a grey gap year to pursue my MSc in Sustainable Development and have recently relocated back to the UK, allowing for greater flexibility in my tutoring schedule.

Building strong relationships with my students is key. This allows me to tailor teaching to individual learning styles and identify the most effective methods and resources. This includes targeted support with exam writing techniques, developing strong subject knowledge, and crafting impactful NEAs. With over 30 years of experience and a wealth of resources at my disposal, I can pinpoint the right tools at the right time to help each student thrive.
