Hi there! I'm Louis, I just graduated from the University of Leeds with a first class honours in English Literature. I have always been interested in a wide range of things and that is why I love English so much, as it involves philosophy, politics, the arts, creativity, critical thinking and even history. 

I have 150+ hours of experience tutoring KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level and I enjoy bringing my own experiences of essay-writing, exams and general technique and understanding into our lessons, to help better shape my students for the studies and exams ahead. 

My teaching style is shaped around and led by the students’ needs and I work to develop long-term solutions, rather than providing quick fixes that don't guarantee success. I am always well prepared for lessons and have a plan in place, however always like to incorporate spontaneity and usually align the lessons close to the students need or struggles at that time. Confidence is key and my tutoring gives my students more confidence in class, and in their ability, whatever level they are. My tutoring will look closely at past-exam papers and potential questions, avoiding quick-fixes and establishing a strong and wide-ranging understanding, which will all, in turn, hopefully bring my students grades up.
