Laura is a patient and experienced teacher and tutor.  She has found a way to teach and challenge my dyslexic son in preparation for his Biology GCSE next summer and in our short time gone up two grades. She gauges his knowledge, tests recall and reinforces weak areas.  She combines tutoring with postitive encouragement and confidence building which is essential for my son who is low in confidence and has poor study skills. Laura is an excellent tutor.

As a 23-year-old with an IB diploma and an English degree, I needed GCSE equivalence in maths and science for primary teacher training. Feeling anxious about biology with only a month and a half to prepare, Laura's tutoring changed everything. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough, she is extremely professional, very experienced and helped to provide the last minute confidence boost that my daughter needed before her GCSE.  Laura forwarded lots of additional resources for my daughter to use and she came fully prepared to the lessons, having requested areas to cover in advance. Laura has been a wonderful tutor that not only provided my son with the missing knowledge 1 month before his exams, but also provided him with in-depth insights to exam techniques and plenty of resources each lesson for him to revise with at home! She gives tutees an easy way to memorise difficult concepts and breaks down big chunks of explanations. It’s been a pleasure and would definitely recommend Laura as a tutor.

Laura is an outstanding tutor!! My son went from hating biology and achieving a consistent 5/5 in his combined science grades to a 7/7 in his final GCSE exam. Biology definitely had a huge impact on that final grade. Laura worked consistently with my son throughout year 11 focusing on the best strategies to help him retain the knowledge and then apply them to get the marks in exam questions. Laura doesn't just focus on biology but is interested in the whole student and their learning style as well as looking to identify any learning difficulties which may need reasonable adjustments. Laura also worked with my other son closer to the exams and he went from a 6 in his mocks to an 8 in the final exam. 
I would highly recommend her and she is very much sought after so a tip would be to book ahead and get into a routine.
