I have 15 years experience as a science teacher, teaching GCSE Sciences and A-level Physics in secondary schools. I have a first-class Physics Masters degree and a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject. I have been tutoring in addition to working as a teacher for many years. I currently work for an alternative learning provider teaching science to small groups and one-to-one. I also work for various tutoring agencies providing home tutoring for students who are educated otherwise than at school (EOTAS) and students with SEN. The students I work with have a with a wide range of different abilities and I enjoy helping them succeed.

I will help you build your confidence and improve your grades in physics. All learners are different and I will adapt my teaching to how a student learns best. Broadly speaking I have a questioning based style - questioning is at the core of good teaching. I have a clear and precise style of explanation and use diagrams to aid explanations. Lessons will also usually involve students completing short tasks, from exam questions to quick quizzes.

I will set students work to do between lessons and provide feedback on this work. This is key to ensuring good progress.
