With a lifelong passion for science and learning, I have pursued an academic journey that led me to complete my MPharm degree at Queens University Belfast in 2007, followed by a PhD project at the University of Nottingham on on protein-protein interactions between nuclear receptors and their cofactors. Throughout my research career, I presented my findings at international conferences and successfully defended my PhD thesis in 2013. Seeking a new challenge, I decided to teach and obtained my PGCE in Chemistry from University College London in 2018. Since then, I have gained valuable experience as a tutor of Science and Maths, building strong relationships with students and achieving remarkable exam results. With a solid foundation in academia, research, and teaching, I am passionate about inspiring students and making a positive impact on their educational journey.

I am a qualified and experienced full-time Science tutor, specializing in Chemistry and have taught at a prestigious independent school in North London, catering to students from 11+ to A-level, including GCSE and IGCSE. I offer comprehensive preparation for Scholarship and School Entrance Examinations, as well as 13+ exams for top independent schools and am also experienced in providing tutoring for home-schooled students. In addition to my teaching role, I have served as an Examinations Officer and Marker. My approach focses on building strong and trusting relationships with my students, setting weekly homework and focusing on exam question practice to cement achievement. I will always model answers for my students and encourage discussion and questioning, and am comfortable teaching in both in person and online learning environments.
