Jocelyn S.

Jocelyn studied Mathematics at the University of York before training to be a teacher at Cambridge University. Jocelyn spent the next 11 years teaching in a sixth form college where she ran a successful Mathematics Department. Jocelyn now runs revision courses for Physics and Maths Tutor, examines for Edexcel and advises Pearson. Most recently, Jocelyn gained an MA in Education from Goldsmiths University. 

Jocelyn find thats many students have already experienced the spoon fed approach so prefers to engage students in conversations about the basics in order to rebuild a solid foundation. Jocelyn predominantly focuses on past paper questions and the creation of a succinct set of revision notes with her students. As such, it is preferable that students make their own notes during each session and complete a small amount of homework in preparation for each week.
