I tailor my lessons to each and every student, focusing on building rapport early with all my students. I like to start by spending 5 mins introducing myself and getting to know the student, understanding their goals and what they're looking to get out of this, be that a target grade, or just to increase general understanding.

I then like to watch over as they attempt a past paper for 15 mins to identiy their weaker points, and gain an greater understanding of the level they're working at.

In my next lesson, I then start by going over the core info and revising a topic that they're struggling with, making sure to work through exam-style questions with them, gradually removing myself further as we progress.

In future lessons, I like to start by recapping the previous lesson, going over a couple exam questions to see whether further teaching on that topic is required.

Additionally, I try to provide support with any other topics or maths problems the student has been finding difficult at school and provide extra questions on these topics, which I then go through with them in future lessons.
