Hi, I’m Jake— a passionate A-Level Maths tutor with a decade of experience helping students of all abilities build confidence and achieve their goals. Whether it’s securing a top university place or strengthening fundamental skills, I’ve supported over 250 students in reaching their potential.

I hold a First-Class Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of East Anglia, where I later worked as an Associate Tutor, teaching A-Level content to foundation year students. I began tutoring in 2017 while studying for my master’s and, in 2020, made it my full-time profession. Since then, I’ve delivered over 4,000 hours of personalised lessons, making complex topics clear, intuitive, and approachable. My flexible, student-focused approach ensures each lesson is tailored to individual needs—helping students prepare for A-Levels, grow in confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of maths.

Over the years, I’ve continuously adapted my teaching approach, drawing from my experience of helping students with a variety of needs and learning styles. I’m always evolving, using each lesson as an opportunity to grow alongside my students.

While my teaching techniques have evolved, my core principles have remained the same. I focus on building strong connections with my students and fostering a supportive environment where they feel confident. Every lesson is a safe space, where students are encouraged to ask any questions—no matter how small or complex.
