I am experienced in tutoring students at secondary school level and A-Level, having delivered 200+ lessons online over the past two years, and previously having delivered in-person tutoring for an educational charity. I have a degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham, and am currently studying for an MSc in Climate Change at the University of Sussex. 

I am friendly and approachable and have a passion for tutoring and sharing knowledge. I love learning more about the world around us and how people and the environment interact.

I'm happy to follow any learning style you prefer. Some pupils really find they need revision sessions or to cover the content, in which case I will prepare PowerPoints and activities to improve your knowledge base. Alongside this, we will practice exam questions in order to make sure you are completely prepared for the real thing!

Other pupils may need support with exam technique. In this case, we can focus on working through practice papers together. Typically we will plan a response together, discussing every aspect of the question and filling in any knowledge gaps, before you write a response, developing your exam technique. Then we can mark the response together and discuss things which went well and what could be improved going forward.

If you prefer other strategies of learning we can of course discuss this. 

Similarly, I am very flexible when it comes to homework between sessions. Some people would like homework to be set between classes to keep them on track, others already have enough on their plates. The real benefit of 1-1 private tutoring is the flexibility and so I aim to tailor every session to the specific pupil.
