Currently a final year Medical student studying at UCL. I find it really rewarding to help my students excel beyond their age. I am passionate teaching biology, helping students with their entrance exams and interviews. I have volunteered for a charity called Action Tutoring which provides free tutoring to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have also volunteered as a team member for UCL Target Medicine which helps to widen participation from underrepresented groups in Higher Education and provide equality of opportunity. 

In my free time I am currently learning how to fly, teaching myself Spanish and I love running early in the mornings.

My teaching style is interactive and approachable, aiming to build my students’ confidence while helping them excel beyond the syllabus. Past students have noted how I have helped them master difficult application-based questions by strengthening their conceptual understanding and boosting their problem-solving skills.

I create customized resources and personalized specification trackers to monitor each student’s progress, ensuring we prioritize areas that need the most focus. My lessons are tailored to the student’s preferred learning style but generally follow this structure:

1. Recap and Review: Revisiting key points from the previous session and assessing understanding.

2. New Content: Introducing and explaining new material, ensuring comprehension and application.

3. Exam Preparation: Tackling exam-style questions while honing exam techniques, with a focus on strategies to achieve top marks.

4. Follow-Up Practice: Adding tailored exam questions and resources for independent study after each lesson.

Additionally, I provide focused revision sessions for upcoming tests and mock exams to help students consolidate their knowledge.

Admissions Tutoring

I also offer specialized tutoring for university admissions. This includes reviewing personal statements, enhancing interview techniques, covering medical ethics and current affairs, and preparing for the UCAT. To date, 100% of my students have received offers to study medicine at university.
