I’m the former Head of Biology at a successful sixth form - the London Academy of Excellence, teaching A-level Biology. I've studied science throughout my academic career - which led me to achieve an Upper Second Class degree from the University of Oxford, in Biological Sciences. I also received my teaching qualification from the University of Oxford. I have now completed a Master's in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and I'm towards achieving a PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology.

As Head of Biology, I ran Oxbridge and Medical School preparation sessions and provided advice on entrance exams (UKCAT, BMAT, NSAA, TSA), personal statements, and interview preparation. I am an experienced UCAS advisor and my students enjoyed great success with their UCAS applications.

As an OCR A-level Biology examiner, I am knowledgeable in the exam technique required to ensure success and this forms the basis of my tutoring. I use this experience to inform my teaching and tutoring so students are sure to maximise the marks they can achieve in exams. I am highly methodical and organised in my teaching and use examples that are relevant to the specification and exam.
