Hey there! I'm Fahim, a final year Computer Science student at Queen Mary University of London and experienced tutor of over three years. Teaching is a passion of mine and I am driven to go the extra mile to ensure my student's are confident and understanding of what they are learning. Revising for exams and learning subject material doesn't have to be a chore - I'll equip you with effective revision methods and techniques not typically taught in school, to help you become an independent learner outside of lessons!

I offer tuition for GCSE and A Level Maths & Computer Science, including the A-Level Computer Science NEA (non-examined assessment). With thorough experience in the A-Level Computer Science NEA and two years of mentoring at a sixth form, I have successfully guided students to achieve top grades (A-A*) in their projects, with all of my previous students scoring over 80%. Having achieved a similar grade myself, I'm confident in providing expert assistance. I’m passionate about programming and eager to help enthusiastic Computer Science students with coding, including Python, Java, and web programming!

I strive to connect with my students in order to better understand them and therefore adapt lessons to best suit their learning style. It's important that you have a comprehensive understanding of a topic, rather than being thrown exam question after exam question like you would have at school. That's why in my sessions I aim to identify any areas you may not be as strong at, return to the basics and work our way back up, and at that point we work together to tackle exam questions to consolidate your learning.

Lessons will typically take an interactive or almost conversational approach, as the session is focused on the student, it's important to receive their input to be able to assess their understanding throughout the lesson. I employ various techniques such as spaced repetitions and interleaving, to allow us to revisit previous topics while also incorporating new ones, ensuring a thorough understanding of the subject.
