I have 15 years varied instructional experience teaching maths and science in schools, and as a tutor. I was maths lead teacher in my last school, and have complete knowledge of all the UK curriculums up to and including A-level and IB in physics and maths. I now tutor full time. I have a master's degree in Physics with Astrophysics, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I was awarded 'Teacher of the Year' by the local authority while working at an international school in Thailand. 

I have enjoyed great success tutoring students in maths and physics. Over an intensive Easter-holiday intervention, I helped a student from a prominent English public school move from a D-grade to an A in their IGCSE maths. Last acedemic year I taught the whole AQA A-level maths and A-level physics course to a student in eight months. He got two A grades, and is about to start a highly competitive apprenticeship. I've helped many students achieve the exam grades they are looking for, enabling them to move on to the colleges and universities of their choice. A recurrent testimony is that they 'couldn’t have done it without her.'

Over and above exam results though, are reviews describing students that were struggling with a subject but went on to not only enjoy it, but to choose it for A-level study or a even a career.

My approach is adaptable depending on the needs and aspirations of my student. The focus is on deepening conceptual understanding over procedural fluency. My friendly approach immediately puts students at ease, making it easy for us to fill knowledge gaps and address misconceptions without judgement. My passion for my subjects is tangible, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best. I'm a patient, friendly, knowledgeable and unflappable teacher.
