I am an experienced classroom teacher of GCSE and A Level physics. I tutor online and face to face. I live in Suffolk and have spent the last 11 years at a successful HMC school, helping young people improve scores, build confidence and develop their sense of wonder.

Our structure depends very much on your current level, your confidence and your goals. Many students seek tutoring in order to prepare for exams, in which case we refer to the specification, textbooks, PowerPoint information, past papers and examiners' reports. As we cover chapters, we tackle your uncertainties together via questioning, diagrams and calculations (my digital writing device helps with clarity). We identify and address marks dropped as we practise papers. Most students gain confidence quickly and can then help to steer the process by asking questions. Usually (if agreed) I will set some "homework" questions to reinforce what we have done, or to identify future skills/topics to focus on. These targetted tasks also provide a little extra motivation to sit down and "get going" with physics during the week .
