I am a fully qualified science teacher currently teaching science (biology, chemistry and physics) from KS3 up to GCSE level. My specialist subject is chemistry. I have 9+ years experience teaching OCR and 5 years experience tutoring AQA. I have also taught Edexcel and IGCSE science.

Getting students involved in learning often means being inventive with one’s teaching methods and that has encouraged me to use various active learning techniques in the classroom. I like to give immediate feedback and address any misconceptions to match the demands of new curriculum at KS3 and GCSE levels. I am familiar with A-level curriculum that helps me to link the GCSE with sixth form curriculum.

I am experienced with the new GCSE (9-1) science curriculum and my teaching approach is tailored to the students' strengths and needs. I help pupils to understand and apply the command words, exam technique and its importance in improving grades. I have experience in teaching online and the lessons are tailored to the exam board and students’ needs. I include a variety exam style questions in my lessons to recap disciplinary knowledge and substantive knowledge to include compulsory practicals and its applications.
