Hi! My name is Dan and I've been tutoring since 2019. I graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class Engineering degree and I have a keen interest in helping students improve their maths and physics skills, as well as helping them get into the best universities for STEM subjects. I have experience in tutoring maths and physics at all levels, writing personal statements for Oxbridge and other top UK universities and in the PAT and ENGAA entrance exams. I look forward to working with you!

I believe the best approach to tutoring is to present students with a problem, and then guide them through it by giving tips and advice without ever just giving them the answer. When they solve the problem, they gain the confidence of knowing they were able to do the question, as well as the satisfaction from completing a hard problem.
Especially in Maths and Physics, I believe it is important to make sure students know why they are learning the content. I find giving students examples of how the skills they learn can be used in the real world is an effective way of keeping them engaged and interested.
Doing well in exams has a lot to do with confidence and I always enjoy watching my students grow in both ability and confidence as we work together.
