I am currently working as a Doctor on a general medical ward, but I have always loved teaching so have continue my tutoring alongside my ward work. I have been tutoring for the last 7 years across a variety of subjects, including violin, Year 7 maths, GCSE chemistry and cardiology for medical students. I currently focus on A Level Biology as this is my specialist subject.

I bring a lot of enthusiasm to my lessons because this is a subject I find very interesting, and the basics that are learned in A level biology form the building blocks for the knowledge that I apply everyday on the wards so I can demonstrate why this information is relevant.

I teach A level Biology to both small groups of students and individuals. These lessons are tailored to each individual student, as I find most require a different balance between deepening their knowledge or improving their exam technique, yet everyone needs both. My lessons are interactive as I think it is important to learn how to apply the knowledge you have and link concepts together. I often get students to explain things to me first, so that they can see for themselves where the gaps in their own understanding might be.

I consistently get excellent feedback from my students and have helped students go from Cs to As or achieve places at medical school. I am happy to have weekly lessons or organise more intensive sessions, depending on the needs of the student.
