About Cuneyt

Profile

I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physics from Oxford University, as well as a Master’s in Data Science with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence. With over 15 years of tutoring experience in the UK and abroad, I currently work as a private tutor and educational consultant. My roles within a private school and other institutions have given me a deep understanding of the education sector. Having guided numerous students and families toward excellent results, I can confidently say my previous clients have received outstanding value from my services.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books on various topics such as science and philosophy. I also love writing code for open-source and personal software projects in machine learning, task automation, and data services. Whenever I feel adventurous, you’ll find me hiking or playing tennis.

Over the course of my career, I have worked in a wide range of industries, including finance, engineering, education, and emerging technologies. Most would describe me as approachable, trustworthy, and professional, with a genuine talent for building strong relationships with individuals from all backgrounds. My goal is always to inspire and connect with the people I work with.

I hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate, and I can provide references—whether from parents or agencies—upon request.

Tutoring Style

Lessons and Planning

I carefully plan each lesson according to the student’s individual requirements. Immediately after every class, I note the student’s strengths and weaknesses, then tailor future lessons accordingly. To ensure clarity when explaining abstract concepts, I often use analogies and diagrams. My experience allows me to approach the same topic in multiple ways, which helps students with different learning styles.

I develop a strong rapport with my students to make lessons more engaging. Parents receive detailed feedback on their child’s progress either fortnightly or monthly, and are encouraged to contact me at any time with questions. I instil confidence in my students by helping them understand and master difficult topics, whilst offering plenty of encouragement and sharing personal anecdotes. In addition, I teach memory techniques I have personally adapted, which work especially well for abstract concepts.

Technology and Resources

I use the latest cloud services, computers, and peripheral devices to support my online lessons. I suggest that students have access to an iPad or graphics tablet, ensuring online classes are as seamless and interactive as face-to-face sessions. My students are introduced to the best and most up-to-date software for mind-mapping, time management, note-taking, and cloud technologies. In computing, they also learn about professional tools and techniques used by software developers and data scientists.

I have created a comprehensive library of tailor-made resources, including presentations, worksheets, and notes, specifically designed to address the areas students commonly find challenging. I regularly adapt these resources for individual needs and show students how to produce their own materials.
