Claire is a Maths and Economics teacher & Head of Economics and Statistics at a secondary school in London. She is also experienced AQA and Edexcel Economics examiner. In the lead up to the exams, she is available to mark and provide feedback on students work.

In addition to her Economics expertise, she teaches Maths across all Key Stages (3-5) and leading the statistics curriculum.

ECONOMICS: Success in A Level Economics is about knowing how to write an excellent extended essay which demonstrates the skills the examiner is looking for.

As an Economics examiner, I have extensive experience helping students develop the skills necessary to write successful essays.

In the lead up to the exams, I am available to support in essay planning, marking and providing detailed feedback on students written work, helping students to refine their technique and build confidence in their writing.

My tutoring approach focuses on deepening subject knowledge while honing exam techniques.

MATHS: I utilise the modelling of worked examples for students to model how student should approach questions. This approach is often used in schools to provide a clear, step-by-step understanding of problem-solving strategies. I prioritise giving students plenty of opportunities to practice skills during our sessions, helping them to develop fluency and confidence in tackling various problems. The content and structure of each session are tailored to meet the individual needs of the student, ensuring a personalised and effective learning experience.
