Claire is a Maths and Economics teacher & Head of Economics and Statistics at a secondary school in London. She is an AQA and Edexcel Economics examiner.

She has experience working as a public sector Economist both in the UK and internationally as part of the prestigious overseas development institute (ODI) fellowship programme.

in addition, she teaches Maths across all Key Stages (3-5) and leads the statistics curriculum.

MATHS: I utilise the modelling of worked examples for students to model how student should approach questions. This approach is often used by Maths teachers. I am keen for students to practice skills during sessions to develop fluency in problem solving. Content and sessions can be tailored depending on the needs of the student.

ECONOMICS: Teaching time is spent deepening subject knowledge as well and focussing heavily on improving exam technique. As an A Level examiner, I am experienced in helping sutdents to master the skills needed to write a successsful essay. I am always keen to adapt sessions based on the needs of students.
