I am the head of the computer science department and a consultant to schools teaching students KS3, GCSE, and A-levels. I have a passion for teaching and creating those light bulb moments. Having over 35 years of industry, teaching and management experience allows me to engage with my students through real-world context. My recent 2024 A-Level grades were 100% A*-B, of which 78% A*-A. My GCSE grades are 81% 9-7. I'm deeply committed to making computer science fun for students and fostering a relaxed environment where discussion and theory go hand in hand. For me, learning should be enjoyable because if it isn't fun, otherwise what's the point!

I bring 35 years of industry, management, and teaching experience into the classroom. I'm deeply passionate about teaching, and I use model-based and dual coding pedagogies to create a learning experience rooted in practical application and easy recall.

Additionally, I strongly emphasise the language of exam papers (OCR, AQA, Edexcel, and ICE), guiding students to understand precisely what is being asked to help them maximize their marks.
