About Atheer

A passionate medical student at the University of Plymouth. Coming from a secondary school where only 20% of students passed maths and english within my year I found I had to teach myself through GCSE's to get high grades as I was set on aplying to medical school. This way of learning lead me to learning A level content early and developing a deep understanding of the subjects I tutor. As well as this I run a maths account on tiktok with over 1300 followers helping students in GCSE and A level maths.

Whilst I was in year 13 a relative of mine was in her GCSE year and requested for help with GCSE maths. I tutored her weekly for the year and went from acheiving 5/6's to a high 9 (95%) in her actual exam! (2023 summer)

I also enjoyed my A levels very much, to such an extent I started tutoring maths and chemistry at A level after I had achieved A*A*A in my A levels.

I have always loved mathematics and continued learning maths alongside medicine at university, this has lead to a lot of self-teaching. This has lead me to becoming great at explaining mathematical concepts as I am extremely confident within my understanding.

I also share a similar passion for chemistry - I originally found it harder at the start of year 13, but this minor setback has lead me to understanding the chemistry exam for AQA very well. As a chemistry tutor I know what parts of chemistry students get wrong having read many examinars reports and talking to my fellow chemists at the time. Due to this I am very good at clearing up and misconceptions. Tutoring chemistry over the last year at A level students consistently tell me I make content seem easy and are able to pick it up faster than they could before due to the way I seemlessly communicate with them, and I am very good at estimating a students understanding during a lesson due to my meticulousness.

Tutoring Style

I provide high value, bespoke lessons by teaching problem solving by breaking down questions and building the skills to tackle exam questions to get top grades.

In the past I have been able to give students that "lightbulb" moment multiple times within the same session. In my experience as a tutor students have said that they swear by my methods and the learning experience I provide is irreplaceable and have repeatably heard - there is no substitute for my lessons.

I simplify mathematical concepts so they are easy to understand. My engaging lessons will significantly improve your mathematical ability and highlight your potential.

Students have also mentioned how my passion for maths and chemistry reflects into the lesson and it is easy for them to engage.
