Hi! I am a full-time tutor with a background in Biochemistry, Genetics and Biomedical Science. My journey into a career in STEM was definitely difficult and unorthodox, and because of this I am a keen advocate for removing barriers to entry to the Sciences for women and BAME. I have been working in education since 2019, and started in schools, tutoring in small group sessions and 1:1 classes in Science and Maths, at GCSE and A-level. Like many during the pandemic, I switched to online teaching in 2020 and have been doing so ever since! I specialise in teaching those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly ASD, Speech and Language needs, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. Many of my current students are also those with SEN, and I am more than happy to help learners reach their maximum potential!

More than anything, I wish to encourage all students to enjoy learning and study so that they can better pursue their interests. I also believe that endless cramming and repetition of "exam technique" can be counter-productive in achieving one's goals. My priority is to facilitate a good understanding of the subject, so that students can achieve their very best in exams with minimal stress. In this way, I want to set up students for study techniques that will still be useful to them in the future, into university and beyond! For the Sciences, this means a key focus on understanding systems of logic and reasoning.
