Hi, I’m Angela, and I am going into my final year of studying dentistry at Kings College London. I’ve always enjoyed studying maths and biology, and I hope to continue my passion for these subjects at university, and help other people enjoy them too.

I have tutored both Maths and Biology for over 7 years, and have helped many students achieve the grades they wanted. I believe that communication is key to being a good tutor, and always endeavour to listen and deliver what a student wants. Over the past few years, I've worked as a private tutor and in a class environment, so I would like to think that I have plenty of experience in helping a wide range of students, of all abilities to succeed, and I hope to be able to apply my previous knowledge to improve both grades and enjoyment in these subjects.

In terms of applying to dentistry, having completed the whole application process, from UCAT to personal statements to interviews I understand how difficult and challenging it can be, so I am here to help. In my own application, I scored within the top 3% on the UCAT, and I received offers from 3 out of 4 universities, including Kings, which was the best dental school in the world at the time. In my time at KCL I have been part of the admissions process of prospective students, including being on the interview panel, and speaking at prospective and offer holder events. This gives me a great insight, one which I hope I can share with my students. 

I am confident in teaching students of all abilities, and happy to arrange free meetings to discuss anything!

I tutor through the use of past papers and exam questions, to help me identify and pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, if they are not already known. This means that I am able to focus in on a weakness, and teach methods and techniques to help my students overcome the problem, and all those that are similar or have the same format. I have found through my own exam experience and when tutoring others, time keeping in an exam is one of the most difficult aspects of it, so I always encourage practising against a clock, and this is something that I emphasise when I tutor.
