I am an accomplished science tutor, and medical doctor, with 8+ years of consistent teaching experience. Through my work as both a private tutor and courses tutor, I have helped countless students achieve higher grades and secure positions at top universities.

After completing my A-levels in 2016, I took a gap year to tutor full-time and became passionate about education, continuing to teach alongside my studies at UCL. As a Course Tutor for PMT since 2018, I have taught hundreds of students, as well as designing, and creating the resources for, several Exam Techniques courses – a special interest of mine. My dedication to connecting with students to provide engaging lessons has been recognised with over 150 five-star feedback reviews from students and parents.

As well as an MBBS, I also hold a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics and Computing. Outside of work, I enjoy playing the guitar, reading, and travelling with friends.

I am a strong believer that the top grades are made outside of the classroom. Through my own experience as both a tutor and as a student, I have found that what sets apart students who achieve the highest grades is how they learn at home.

I have a special interest in evidence-based examination and revision/learning techniques, which I regularly teach courses on. Having used these myself throughout my time in the education system, I am familiar with how to best learn course content and, most importantly, how to translate this into answers that gain maximum marks.

In the school classroom, concepts can become clouded by poorly explained jargon and one-size-fits-all teaching methods. My aim is to build upon topics from first principles, so that my students have a genuine understanding that can be applied even to unfamiliar questions. By evaluating the relevant Examiner Reports over the years of previous examinations, I am able to tailor my lessons the specific exam board that each student is sitting, and guide them away from the mistakes students commonly fall into.

I have taught students at every stage from KS2 to A-level, as well as those looking for help with their UCAT and BMAT entrance exams and university interview preparation.

I understand that it can be draining for students to finish school only to head straight home for another hour or more of teaching, which is why I like my lessons to feel easy-going, yet productive. I have always had brilliant relationships with my tutees and look forward to meeting many more.
