Amna A.

Hi, I'm Amna - a scientist with a PhD degree and an A-level chemistry examiner from England with 12+ years of teaching and lab research experience. I specialise in exam prep for A-level, IB (SL and HL), and GCSE/IGCSE chemistry students.

I've tutored school and university students offline and online; one-on-one and in groups; supervised Bachelor's and Master's students; created online courses for A-level, GCSE and SAT chemistry students. Since 2018, I tutor exclusively online, full time.

My lessons will be adapted to your needs. During the first lesson, we usually go through a short diagnostic test together (based on the curriculum you're studying). This helps me to identify your strengths and weaknesses and to create a personalised study plan for you.

The key to my students' success is the perfect study plan, simple explanations of difficult concepts, and a lots of practice of exam-style questions with rigorous explanations.

And finally, as a scientist with a PhD degree and the first author of several peer-reviewed research papers, I provide recommendation letters for university applications to the exceptional students.

Honestly I was very scared about starting to learn chemistry again as I didn't remember it as my favourite subject, but with Amna I really enjoyed it and waited for every lesson! We have never and I repeat NEVER had a teacher like that. My kids went to IB MYP and when my daughter arrived to 11th grade I started to see that the prep for HL chemistry in MYP was kind of a joke. Seriously, I was helpless, wanting to help her I was searching tutors online and watching my clever girl getting 4’s and 3’s. Everything changed when I tried *** and Amna for the first time, she explained chemistry like no one else. So we booked 6 lessons and than another 6 and another 6 and my girl started to revive 5’s and than 6’s and 7’s. Amazing, devoted, clever, tons of patience - everything I say will sound pale compared to this lady. I repeat my opening line - We had never ever had a teacher like her. Absolutely fabulous!!!!
