Tutor for GCSE Mathematics and physics. Hi! I'm Alec, a Masters in Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Sheffield with a strong background in advanced mathematics and physics. My journey hasn't always been smooth — I once struggled with GCSE maths myself. Despite my initial fear, I achieved a Grade A in GCSE Maths and a Grade A* in Physics. It wasn't until I began studying these subjects at A-level that I truly started developing a passion for learning.  

 I understand the challenges of learning math and physics and have learnt to simplify hard concepts. My experience includes teaching large groups English and tutoring GCSE subjects both online and in person on a one-on-one basis. I can recognise how daunting difficult topics can be and the importance of rephrasing it in an easier way.

It's essential to fully understand the material before applying spaced repetition to reinforce knowledge while also building confidence with exam questions. I will integrate more challenging concepts with simpler ones to help achieve the best possible exam results. Additionally, I will revisit previously learned content to reinforce understanding and ensure the confidence of each topic. The material covered will be tailored to match the student's ability, ensuring effective and personalised learning.
