Physics A Level Summer Revision Course – Online

Course Information

Course Description

Our online Physics summer refresher courses are designed to give students a comprehensive recap ahead of Year 13.

During the three-day course, our experienced tutors will guide students through everything they learnt during Year 12, helping them solidify their knowledge and clear any misunderstandings as they go. Tutors integrate past paper questions throughout their teaching to reinforce knowledge and refine exam technique.

To go alongside our online classes, students will receive a package of high-quality revision materials. Professionally printed and bound, our workbooks and question booklets are intended to keep revision as easy and digestible as possible, both during and after the course.

Helping to develop the confidence and skills to succeed, our refresher courses are an excellent way to prepare students for the final year of their A Levels.

Suitable for:

  • Students entering year 13
  • Students looking to review year 12 subject knowledge, ready to go back to school
  • Students going into year 12
  • Students wanting to focus purely on exam technique

If you need help deciding if you will benefit from this course you can contact us. Alternatively, you may prefer to book 1-2-1 tuition instead.

Our Tutors

At PMT Courses we work with a talented team of professional teachers and tutors, many of whom have worked at some of the best-rated schools in the UK. We’ve recruited them not only for their exceptional academic credentials but also for their innovative teaching styles, infectious enthusiasm, and wealth of experience too.

David O.

David O.

David holds a BA (Moderatorship) in Natural Sciences from Trinity College Dublin and has an impressive 30 years of experience as a teacher and tutor. Specialising in physics, maths and computer science, he believes in the power of clear explanation when it comes to helping his students understand complicated concepts. He considers himself a lifelong learner – always updating his knowledge and skills, to the benefit of his students.

Outside of work, David is an avid experimentalist, applying the very skills he teaches to his own electronic projects – robotics in particular. He also has a fascination with blockchain technology: he’s involved in the Helium project, an open-source project to build The People’s Network, and he’s especially interested in the use of NFTs in play-to-earn gaming. He’s currently focused on learning Solidity, to program smart contracts for the Ethereum blockchain.

If you would like 1-2-1 tuition with David, you can find his profile on our tuition platform.

John S.

John S.

John is a seasoned A Level Physics lecturer with 15 years of classroom experience and serves as an examiner for AQA. He holds a joint honours bachelor’s degree in Physics and Computer Science from Manchester University and is currently pursuing an MSc in Space and Quantum Physics at the Open University. He is also a part-time online tutor.

John’s enthusiasm for science shines through in his teaching. He coordinates the A Level science team at his workplace and holds a PGCE with distinction from Manchester Metropolitan University and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Although he specialises in AQA and OCR A, he has experience teaching a range of exam boards, as well as the International Baccalaureate. His students consistently meet or exceed their minimum expected grades.

With a background in IT as the European Head of IT for a major chemical company, John brings real-world experience to his lessons, solidifying student learning through examples and anecdotes. Growing up in Sweden, he is fluent in both Swedish and English and values multiculturalism. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, gaming, reading sci-fi, listening to heavy metal and symphonic metal music, and spending time with his two grandchildren.

If you would like 1-2-1 tuition with John, you can find his profile on our tuition platform.

Jaffar A.

Jaffar A.

Jaffar completed his BSc in Physics at the University of York before taking his PGCE in Physics with Maths. Today, he’s the assistant head of KS5 at a school in London, where part of his role involves mentoring trainee teachers.

In addition to his classroom teaching, Jaffar has over 12 years of experience as a private tutor. During this time, he has become very involved in the academic world, helping to build a private education business that now has three centres in London. Alongside his regular teaching role, he prepares masterclasses for various A Level courses at the business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Haven't found what you're looking for? Please get in touch with our friendly team!

How do your online A Level Physics revision courses work?

Our online revision courses take place within Google Classroom, keeping everything organised in one convenient hub. From here, you’ll be able to access our bespoke course resources and join the live lessons which take place on Google Meet.

Students can interact with the teacher using their microphone or the chat feature.

All sessions are recorded. The lesson recordings are uploaded after each day, allowing you to watch them back for a recap whenever you like.

When will I receive the Google Classroom link for my online revision course?

You should receive your Google Classroom link via email the day before your course starts. Sometimes these emails go to the junk folder so check there before contacting us if you haven’t received it.

When will I receive my revision course handouts?

You will receive physical copies of the handouts 3-5 days before the start of your online course, as long as you book with us before the printing deadline. You can find the printing deadline in the course summary box on each booking page.

Please note: we can only send printed handouts to students in the UK.

What if my exam board isn’t listed?

If you can’t see your exam board then we are afraid we aren’t running a course for it. However, this doesn’t mean that one of our courses won’t be useful for you. Contact us to see which course is more closely aligned with your exam board.
