Our online Biology summer refresher courses are designed to give soon-to-be Year 13 students a comprehensive recap ahead of the new academic year.
During the three-day course, our experienced teachers will walk students through everything covered in Year 12, ensuring they have a solid knowledge and understanding of the key topics presented so far. Past paper questions will be used throughout teaching to consolidate knowledge and practice exam technique. Skills learnt on the course can be used by students once back at school to help boost grades.
In addition to our online classes, students joining us will receive a comprehensive package of original, high-quality revision materials. These professionally printed guides and question booklets have been designed to make revision as digestible as possible, both during and after the course.
Helping to develop the confidence and skills to succeed, our refresher courses are an excellent way to prepare students for the final year of their A Levels.

Classes are from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Registration starts from 9.15am.
There will be a 1 hour lunch break and a couple of 10 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon.

Teresa, also known as Tre, holds a BSc in Biomolecular Science, an MSc in Biomedical Basis of Disease, and a PGCE in Secondary Science. She’s taught biology in various settings since 2007, including online classes and a top ten-rated sixth form college in the Midlands.
As well as teaching biology and biology-adjacent subjects, Teresa mentors other teachers in IT and works as an A Level Biology examiner for two different exam boards. The latter has given her a thorough insight into today’s papers, allowing her to build teaching strategies that provide students with the knowledge, application skills and confidence to ace their exams.

Owen achieved his BSc in Zoology from Newcastle University and today teaches AQA A Level Biology at a sixth form college in West Yorkshire. He began teaching the AQA specification in 2016, giving him a thorough knowledge of the course content and exam papers. As such, many of his students have achieved fantastic results in their exams.
Owen focuses heavily on fundamental biological principles, helping students develop a thorough understanding that enables them to apply their knowledge to unfamiliar concepts. Whether he’s teaching in a classroom or tutoring privately, his engaging and motivational teaching style ensures students feel involved and supported at every stage.
Lyndsay has a BSc in Biology from the University of York and has been tutoring the subject at A Level for over 12 years, both in person and online. Before becoming a tutor, she spent three years teaching in a classroom environment.
Lyndsay has long held an interest in biology. She grew up in Kenya helping her dad with his fisheries research, where she had the opportunity to conduct her own ecology experiments on the local dolphins. Today, she’s just as passionate about the subject and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm with her students.

Our online revision courses take place within Google Classroom, keeping everything organised in one convenient hub. From here, you’ll be able to access our bespoke course resources and join the live lessons which take place on Google Meet.
Students can interact with the teacher using their microphone or the chat feature.
All sessions are recorded. The lesson recordings are uploaded after each day, allowing you to watch them back for a recap whenever you like.
You should receive your Google Classroom link via email the day before your course starts. Sometimes these emails go to the junk folder so check there before contacting us if you haven’t received it.
You will receive physical copies of the handouts 3-5 days before the start of your online course, as long as you book with us before the printing deadline. You can find the printing deadline in the course summary box on each booking page.
Please note: we can only send printed handouts to students in the UK.
If you can’t see your exam board then we are afraid we aren’t running a course for it. However, this doesn’t mean that one of our courses won’t be useful for you. Contact us to see which course is more closely aligned with your exam board.
