Jocelyn studied Mathematics at the University of York before completing her PGCE at the University of Cambridge in 2010. As soon as she finished university, she jumped right into teaching and never looked back.

Now the head of mathematics at a top independent college in London, Jocelyn is dedicated to helping her students achieve excellent results with her intuitive and encouraging teaching style. She focuses heavily on helping students understand theories behind mathematical methods and believes mastering past paper questions is vital to exam success.

Michail, also known as Mike, holds a first class honours degree and a PhD in Chemistry. He spent many years working in a wide range of technical and managerial roles, before eventually finding his calling as a teacher. He’s now racked up 12 years of experience in education, teaching most UK syllabuses, including Edexcel, AQA, and OCR (A) – his personal favourites.

Mike’s particularly fond of teaching mechanisms in organic chemistry, believing the key to understanding it is viewing it in terms of electrostatics. His teaching approach focuses on developing a thorough knowledge of the course content and confidence-building ­– believing both are equally essential for successfully answering exam questions. When he’s not teaching, Mike spends his time cycling, volunteering, and watching seabirds.

Teresa, also known as Tre, holds a BSc in Biomolecular Science, an MSc in Biomedical Basis of Disease, and a PGCE in Secondary Science. She’s taught biology in various settings since 2007, including online classes and a top ten-rated sixth form college in the Midlands.

As well as teaching biology and biology-adjacent subjects, Teresa mentors other teachers in IT and works as an A Level Biology examiner for two different exam boards. The latter has given her a thorough insight into today’s papers, allowing her to build teaching strategies that provide students with the knowledge, application skills and confidence to ace their exams.
